We are seeking a VP of Total Rewards for a full-time and direct hire role for one of our amazing partners in Fort Lauderdale, FL. This is an onsite role with some hybrid flexibility, so you must be local or willing to relocate to South Florida.


Overview:

You will be responsible for leading the total rewards department for this global hospitality company, which oversees the compensation and benefits strategy. You will analyze, develop, implement and evaluate all programs for the entire company.


Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to design and execute a competitive, end-to-end Total Rewards strategy and design programs that align with the Company's overall talent agenda to attract, retain and motivate top talent.
  • Ensure financial sustainability of Total Rewards programs by working closely with Finance to optimize value, reduce risk, evaluate options, and make recommendations to the leadership team.
  • Oversee the efficient administration of HRIS systems related to compensation and benefits and ensure seamless data transfer between internal systems and external vendors.
  • Manage all compensation and benefits programs, which include job evaluation, job classification & reclassification, salary structures, benefit plans and retirement programs.
  • Have a comprehensive understanding of global compensation and benefits trends to ensure that all programs are adaptable and competitive in diverse international markets.
  • Prioritize the best interests of team members and their families when making decisions regarding compensation and benefits. Balance this with the organizations financial strength and team member job security.
  • Create policies and procedures related to compensation and benefits that are clear, concise, and easily understood by all team members.
  • Maintain competitive compensation and benefits programs by conducting comprehensive market research and propose innovative solutions to differentiate the Company.
  • Stay appraised of government policies and regulations, and update information and practices to ensure ongoing compliance with all appliable regulations.
  • Lead engaging and informative compensation meetings.
  • Prepare written and verbal information to educate and excite team members regarding benefits and compensation and answer any inquiries utilizing a variety of communication channels.
  • Advise managers and team members on resolutions for problems relating to salaries, job classifications, job content and benefit program issues. Make sure they know they were treated fairly and ensure all interactions uphold the principles of fairness and transparency.
  • Recommend reclassification of positions to maintain consistency throughout the organization.


Requirements:

  • At least 7+ years of Compensation and Benefits experience with at least 5 years at the manager or above level. Director or Senior Management level experience highly preferred.
  • At least 3+ years of Compensation and Benefits Management experience for company with at least 15K employees or more. Experience with multi-property or multi-location is highly preferred.
  • Experience leading Total Rewards in the hospitality or entertainment industry is highly preferred.
  • Experience with compensation and benefits software used for tracking and analysis.
  • Ability to compute rates, ratios, and percentages for gathering and applying salary and benefits data.
  • Knowledge of classification principles and job evaluation methodology.
  • Knowledge of state and federal regulations for benefit rules and regulations that include health and wellness, retirement savings and wage and hour.
  • Data analysis, report writing and data presentation skills are required.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint required.
  • Outstanding verbal and written persuasive communication skills to present to large and small groups, and the ability to present detailed and factual reports and educational documents for all levels.
  • Proficiency with Infinium and/or Workday preferred.
  • Certified Employee Benefit Specialist (CEBES) and Compensation Management Specialist (CMS)/Certified Compensation Professional (CCP) certifications preferred.
  • Bachelors degree
