We are looking for a Fire Sprinkler Test & Inspection Technician to join our team!
Hourly pay range: $23 - $50/hour depending on license, certifications and applicable skills and experience.
Work shift: Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM 4:00 PM
As a Fire Sprinkler Test & Inspection Technician, you're responsible for performing the inspection and testing, of fire sprinkler systems for compliance with applicable life-safety and fire-safety requirements as mandated by standards and codes, manufacturers requirements, federal, state, and local ordinances, customer requirements, and the expectations and requirements of the company. This is a pure inspection opportunity with no service calls.
In this role you will:
- Perform inspection and testing of all types of fire sprinkler systems
- Perform inspection and testing of backflow prevention devices as required by USC 10 and state and local codes, separate certification requirements may be necessary based upon the jurisdiction
- Assist/coordinate with all forms of life safety system testing
- Document all testing findings in accordance with NFPA and local requirements
- Maintain a good positive relationship with the customer and pass on information to the appropriate personnel for follow-up, quotes, questions, or concerns
- Discuss deficiencies noted with a customer, explaining the problem and its resolution

- Perform fire extinguisher duties 10-20% of the time
Requirements:
- 2 plus years' experience in fire alarm systems
- High School diploma or equivalent
- NICET II (Water based systems)
- FEX-1 Fire Extinguishers (Seattle Certification)
- E4 Wet/dry chemical fire extinguishing system
- Knowledge and ability to understand and operate basic computer functions such as Windows, Word, Outlook, Microsoft Teams, Apple IOS, and Android
- Must possess a valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
- Must be able to travel overnight over multiple days occasionally
Working Conditions:
- Frequent exposure to fumes or airborne particles
- Occasional exposure to working in high, precarious places; toxic or caustic chemicals; risk of electrical shock and vibration.
- The noise level is generally moderate.
- Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds unassisted
- Frequently lift and carry toolboxes, tools, equipment, parts, cabling, and/or wiring
- Must be able to push or pull up to 50 pounds
- Frequent ladder climbing, often while carrying up to 50 pounds
