Fire Engineer - Atlanta, GA

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Fire Engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing and implementing fire alarm systems, ensuring compliance with relevant codes and standards. This role requires a strong understanding of NFPA and IBC, as NICET III or higher certification. The Fire Engineer will collaborate with architects, contractors, and other engineering disciplines to deliver effective fire alarm systems proposals.

Duties
Develop and design fire alarm systems including submitting them to fire alarm jurisdiction's for plan review to get plans approved and stamped by the fire marshal.
Conduct system design reviews to ensure compliance with National Electrical Code (NEC) and local regulations.
Program, test, and put on-line fire alarms after installation
Collaborate with installation teams to integrate fire safety features into building designs using tools like Revit and Creo.
Perform site assessments to evaluate existing fire alarm systems and recommend upgrades or modifications.
Prepare technical documentation including specifications, reports, and presentations for stakeholders.
Stay updated on industry trends, codes, and best practices related to fire engineering.

Experience
Must have at least 5 years of fire alarm installation and service experience including at least a level III NICET fire alarm certification.
Drivers license required
Must be able to pass back ground check
Strong understanding of fire alarm codes
Experience in system design for fire alarm applications is required.
Familiarity with NEC standards and fire safety regulations is highly desirable.
Excellent problem-solving skills for servicing fire alarm systems.
Willing and able to train other technicians and lead technician on installation of fire alarm systems.
