**Job Overview:**

Total Care Medical Staffing is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Direct Support Specialist to join our team in Cincinnati, OH. The ideal candidate will provide essential support and care to individuals with behavioral health needs, ensuring their safety and well-being. This role requires a commitment to fostering an environment of respect, dignity, and empowerment for our clients.

**Key Responsibilities:**

- Provide direct support and assistance to individuals with behavioral health needs.

- Implement individualized care plans and behavioral strategies.

- Assist clients with daily living activities, including personal care and household tasks.

- Facilitate and support community involvement and integration.

- Monitor and document client progress and behaviors.

- Administer medications and provide basic healthcare as required.

- Ensure a safe and supportive environment for clients.

- Communicate effectively with clients, families, and healthcare professionals.

- Maintain confidentiality and comply with all HIPAA regulations.

**Qualifications:**

- Completion of 8 hours of Department of Developmental Disabilities (DODD) training.

- High School Diploma or equivalent.

- Valid Drivers License and current auto insurance.

- CPR certification.

- Two valid forms of identification.

- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

- Compassionate, patient, and reliable.

- Ability to work flexible hours and adapt to changing needs.
