Position: Finance Manager
Location: Remote, located within Ireland or Portugal
Employment type: Contract, ability to invoice - 2 days per week
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Oversee and manage all financial matters for the Irish, Portuguese, and Spanish operations of the company.
- Lead and supervise the accounts team in Spain and Portugal to ensure accurate and timely reporting.
- Monitor and report on financial performance, providing insights to the Company Founder for business growth and strategic decisions.
- Ensure compliance with local accounting rules, tax regulations, and financial reporting standards in Ireland, Portugal, and Spain.
- Support the budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes.
- Work closely with senior management to streamline financial processes and improve operational efficiency.
- Provide guidance and support to the accounts team across different regions to maintain consistency in financial practices.
- Conduct audits and financial reviews, identifying areas for improvement.
- Assist with financial strategy and decisions, contributing to the company's growth plans.
- Be flexible and proactive in addressing ad-hoc financial issues as they arise.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Native or fluent in English (C1 level), with strong proficiency in both written and spoken communication.
- Ambitious and motivated accountant with a desire to join a fast-growing online business.
- Clear understanding of all accounting rules and practices, including but not limited to financial reporting, compliance, and tax requirements across multiple regions (Ireland, Portugal, Spain).
- Experience working with Zero accounts package or similar accounting software.
- Proven ability to work remotely and collaborate effectively with a dispersed team.
- Comfortable working closely with the Company Founder to facilitate business growth and streamline financial operations.
- Excellent organizational and communication skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities across various locations.
- Flexible candidate willing to travel when necessary to engage with teams in Spain, Portugal, and Ireland.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret and present complex financial data.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
