About the job Academic Supervisor (Course Content)
JOB OVERVIEW
To develop and improve the courseware for different English products at Topica and to ensure that quality of the teaching content complies to the teaching and learning excellency standards set for these products.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Curriculum design
To assist the AM in identifying the structure for effective course design best suitable for the Topica Native’s learning model
To assist the AM in reviewing and selecting suitable textbooks, coursebooks, teaching materials, teaching resources, etc. necessary for the curriculum
To monitor and enhance the curriculum design of the courses in the most effective way
Content development
To design and input content for teachers to teach in classes
To design and compile resources and materials for learning modules following the curriculum design
To supervise and monitor the content development work and make sure that such content complies to the design guidelines of each curriculum
To work closely with Teaching Quality Assurance (TQA) and Academic Operation (AO) to collect feedback relating to course content from teachers and students
To review and enhance the quality of the teaching content in the most effective way
Additional tasks
To support and cooperate with other academic teams as requested
To support cross-departmental assignments as requested
QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor’s Degree in English Pedagogy/ English Linguistics from renowned universities
At least 3 years of teaching experience in General English/ Test Preparation courses
At least 1 year of experience in learning course designing/lesson planning for various English courses
IELTS 8.0+ with no band under 7.0 or equivalent
Good knowledge in educational technology tools and teaching assistance technological tools
Strong computer skills in Office tools, Gsuite tools, presentation & design platforms
Good IT knowledge in coding/AI learning is a plus.
