Purpose of Function

The Supply Chain Manager is responsible for overseeing and managing the company's overall supply chain and logistics strategy and operations in order to maximize the process efficiency and productivity. This position keeps track of logistics, updates the companys inventory, analyzes operational performance and resolves issues. This position collaborates with vendors and suppliers to ensure all operations (e.g. shipping, delivery) meet quality and safety standards.

Tasks and Responsibilities

  • Develops appropriate supply chain strategy to maximize customer satisfaction at the lowest possible cost.

  • Leads the supply chain team in executing best practices and measuring performance through agreed upon Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).

  • Directs and coordinates global supply chain functions through strategy, resource optimization, profitability maximization, and KPIs resulting in the maximization of customer satisfaction.

  • Plans, manages, and coordinates all activities related to the sourcing and procurement of necessary supplies needed to meet the changing levels of product demand.

  • Works directly with sales department to determine most cost-effective distribution solution for finished goods transportation to customers.

  • Monitors and corrects inventory levels at outside warehouses (3PL) and internally to ensure rotation and maximize working capital.

  • Works with freight forwards and transportation companies to set best route and rate (reviews and approves all freight terms and agreements).

  • Lead purchasing team to determine best practice for freight in and freight consolidation.

  • Supports proper utilization of SAP system

  • Responsible to routinely report on department KPIs along with appropriate analysis and

    countermeasures where necessary.

  • Manage, lead and develop team members.

Position Requirements

University Education

Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, operations, logistics, business administration, transportation, or engineering

5 years experience in a managerial role in SCM (planning, logistics, purchasing and etc.), gained in an international company with multiple sales channels

  • Strong customer orientation with commercial acumen

  • Firm grasp of supply chain, inventory, demand planning,

    distribution, business and management principles

  • Project Management experience

  • Process improvement/Kaizen activities

  • Supplier management

  • SAP implementation or user experience

  • Team management with +10 staff
