Job Overview:
Our client is looking for a Sales Manager with a background in transport and freight, especially those with experience at Sony, Sanrio, Nintendo, Konami, Bandai, or similar companies. However, we are happy to consider candidates with a commercial mindset from the pure entertainment industry or highly skilled logistics salespeople.

As a Sales Manager in the freight forwarding industry, you will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities, developing relationships with clients, and driving sales growth within the Amusement/Entertainment/Gaming sector. You will play a key role in expanding our client base and enhancing customer satisfaction by offering tailored logistics solutions.

Business level Japanese language or higher is essential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Business Development: Identify and target potential clients in the freight forwarding and logistics sectors, especially in the Amusement/Gaming vertical. Build a strong sales pipeline and ensure consistent revenue growth.
  • Client Relationship Management: Develop and maintain long-term relationships with key decision-makers in client organizations, focusing on high-value accounts.
  • Sales Strategy: Collaborate with management to develop and implement effective sales strategies to meet and exceed revenue and GP targets.
  • Negotiation & Proposal Generation: Lead negotiations of pricing, terms, and service agreements. Prepare and present proposals to prospective clients, ensuring they align with business needs.
  • Market Analysis: Monitor market trends and competitor activity to identify new business opportunities. Report on market conditions and customer feedback to inform strategic decisions.
  • Sales Targets & Reporting: Consistently meet or exceed sales targets. Maintain accurate and up-to-date sales records, providing regular reports to management.
  • Customer Support & Problem Solving: Work closely with operations teams to ensure customer needs are met, resolve service issues, and provide exceptional customer service.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Experience: Minimum of 3 years of sales experience in the freight forwarding, logistics, or related industries, with a proven track record of achieving sales targets.
  • Skills: Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills. Ability to understand client needs and offer tailored solutions. A solid understanding of freight forwarding processes is highly preferred.
  • Language: Proficiency in both Japanese and English (spoken and written) is essential for dealing with international clients and partners.
  • Personal Traits: Highly motivated, goal-oriented, and able to work independently. Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to business development.
