We are seeking an experienced and driven Key Account Manager (IV Manager) to oversee and grow our relationships with key clients in the luxury fashion and retail sectors in Tokyo. This individual will be responsible for managing the end-to-end logistics needs of high-profile customers, ensuring exceptional service, and fostering long-term partnerships. The ideal candidate will bring a strong understanding of freight forwarding, logistics, and supply chain solutions tailored to the luxury market in Japan.
Key Responsibilities:
- Account Management & Development
- Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned luxury fashion and retail clients.
- Build, maintain, and nurture strong, long-term relationships with key stakeholders.
- Understand client needs, challenges, and expectations to deliver customized logistics solutions that align with their brand and customer experience.
- Strategic Planning & Solution Design
- Develop tailored logistics solutions, including air, sea, and ground freight, for high-value products.
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure the smooth implementation of bespoke solutions.
- Utilize a data-driven approach to optimize supply chain processes and reduce costs while maintaining quality.
- Performance Monitoring & Reporting
- Track and report on KPIs to ensure service levels meet or exceed client expectations.
- Proactively address issues, managing escalation processes and ensuring client satisfaction.
- Prepare regular reports on account performance, including service quality, cost-efficiency, and any client feedback.
- Collaboration & Communication
- Coordinate closely with cross-functional teams, including operations, sales, and customer service.
- Ensure seamless communication and information flow, both internally and with clients, to resolve issues promptly.
- New Business Development
- Identify opportunities for upselling or cross-selling services to increase account value.
- Support the business development team in proposals and pitches for new luxury fashion and retail accounts.
- Market Analysis & Industry Insights
- Stay updated on trends in the luxury fashion and retail industry, including e-commerce, sustainability, and supply chain innovations.
- Analyze competitors activities to keep our solutions competitive and relevant.
Requirements:
- Bachelors degree in Business, Logistics, Supply Chain, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in logistics or freight forwarding, with a focus on luxury fashion, retail, or a similar high-value sector.
- Demonstrated success in account management or sales with high-value clients.
- Strong knowledge of international shipping regulations, customs processes, and handling requirements for luxury goods in Japan.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
- Analytical mindset with experience in data interpretation to drive decisions.
- Proficiency in relevant logistics management software and CRM systems.
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple accounts, and deliver results under tight deadlines.
- Japanese and English language proficiency is required.
