Our key clients Contract Logistics business is growing fast! They have expanded from 75,000 sqm in 2020 to over 200,000 sqm across 7 warehouses in Japan in 2024. They provide Distribution, Warehousing, and Reverse Logistics services to customers in the Consumer, E-commerce, Technology, and Healthcare sectors.

As the business grows, we need experts in warehouse management system (WMS) implementation to support new client set up.  If you have experience with systems like Manhattan warehouse management systems not as an IT Manager but someone who can manage the technical aspects of WMS technical implementations we would love to hear from you!

Your Role

You will work as a warehouse management system and transport management system expert, helping to design, implement, and support systems that meet customer needs. You will work closely with teams inside and outside the company to deliver successful projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support Warehouse Tenders: Understand customer needs and propose the best warehouse management system and transport management system solutions with cost estimates.
  • Design System Solutions: Create and share system design documents to guide implementation.
  • Set Up Systems: Configure warehouse management systems, transport management systems, and related systems based on customer and operational needs.
  • Interface and Report Development: Help with the logical setup of system interfaces and reports.
  • Train Users: Teach users how to use the warehouse management and transport management systems for new and existing features.
  • Support Projects: Help with testing, training, and Go-Live processes. Manage project updates, changes, and provide ongoing support.

What Were Looking For

  • Education: Diploma or Degree in IT, Logistics, or Supply Chain Management (or similar).
  • Experience:
    • Understanding of warehouse operations.
    • Experience with warehouse management systems and transport management systems (knowledge of Blue Yonder warehouse management systems is a plus).
    • Ability to fix issues with warehouse management systems, transport management systems, and EDI systems and data.
  • Skills:
    • Presentation and training skills.
    • Experience with hardware like RF devices or printers (Honeywell/Zebra).
    • Knowledge of automation or warehouse management system integration with WCS is helpful.
  • Languages:
    • Business-level Japanese (required).
    • Basic English (required for system training, which is in English).
