MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS EDUCATION

Grade12 / Matric

N4 and Trade Certificate

Minimum 5 years relevant experience

EXPERIENCE

Experience in a planning environment

Experience in Maximo or SAP 5 years at appropriate level

Knowledge or Experience in Steel manufacturing or Smelting industry will be advantageous.

SPECIAL KNOWLEDGE

Computer literacy Microsoft packages

Knowledge of reliability centered maintenance

Strong mechanical and electrical maintenance knowledge

SAP and Maximo

Ordering and procuring spares for maintenance activities

Reliability reporting

SPECIAL SKILLS

Compiling of weekly / monthly Reports

Ability to communicate effectively and work independently.

Ability to plan, organize and work under pressure

Must be prepared to perform standby duties.

SCOPE OF WORK / KPAs

(This is not an exhaustive list of functions to be carried out)

Utilizing and maintaining the maintenance system (electronically & manually)

Maintenance, planning and supervision.

Developing effective proactive maintenance plans for plant equipment

Discussing and communicating failure modes to plant personnel

Assisting Team Leaders with root cause failure analysis.

Purchase and arrange for spares & check all critical spares

Unit short term repair cost control

Developing and updating unit Asset Register

Compiling monthly reports to the General & Engineering Manager on the condition of the plant assets and plant availability

Continuous development of the candidates knowledge on proactive maintenance planning aspects

Attendance of regular courses and seminars on proactive maintenance planning

Ensure that the Maximo PM master data, planning data and work management data are reviewed

Investigate system problems, identify and recommend solutions

Conduct non-routine system analysis, evaluate and report

Monitor work management discipline and asset performance figures and trends and highlight variances

Continuously seek ways of improving maintenance planning, equipment reliability and physical maintenance in the plant

Monitor corrective maintenance workload VS available manpower

Report and suggest corrective action

Conduct internal maintenance audits

Monitor and report inconsistencies

Ensure system data integrity
