We are seeking an experienced and entrepreneurial Business Development Manager to drive growth within an expanding international freight forwarding organization. This role is focused exclusively on new business development and revenue generation through air and ocean export opportunities across the United States.

The ideal candidate is a true sales hunter with an established network of shippers, importers, exporters, manufacturers, or freight customers and a proven ability to generate new business within international logistics. This is an opportunity to build and grow a book of business while being supported by a dedicated operations team that manages shipment execution from quote to delivery.

This position is fully remote and open to candidates located anywhere within the United States.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and grow new business opportunities within international freight forwarding.
  • Generate revenue through air freight and ocean freight export services.
  • Identify, prospect, and secure new customers across multiple industries and commodities.
  • Leverage existing customer relationships to transition business and create new opportunities.
  • Maintain a healthy sales pipeline and consistent prospecting activity.
  • Present customized logistics solutions to customers based on their transportation needs.
  • Collaborate with internal pricing and operations teams to develop competitive quotations.
  • Negotiate pricing and service offerings with customers.
  • Execute customer agreements, credit applications, and onboarding documentation.
  • Manage customer relationships and serve as the primary commercial contact.
  • Provide market intelligence and customer feedback to leadership.

Preferred Experience

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in international freight forwarding sales.
  • Demonstrated success selling air and ocean transportation solutions.
  • Experience with U.S. export shipments.
  • Existing book of business and strong industry relationships preferred.

    • Air Freight
    • Ocean Freight
    • Import/Export Solutions
    • Customs and Trade Services
    • Project Cargo
    • Oversized Shipments
    • Dangerous Goods Transportation
