JOB DETAILS:

Position: Cloud Engineer
Location: Portugal (Portuguese residency required)
Work Model: Remote

DAY-TO-DAY DUTIES:

As a Cloud Engineer at Top Sigma, you will:

• Design and implement robust cloud infrastructure in GCP and AWS, focusing on multi-tenant and hub-and-spoke models.
• Deploy and manage Kubernetes clusters (GKE and AWS EKS) and configure service meshes like Istio.
• Utilize Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform and Helm for deploying and maintaining cloud environments.
• Set up and manage IAM roles, VPC networking, and advanced security configurations across cloud platforms.
• Implement CI/CD pipelines using GitLab and Argo CD to streamline application deployment.
• Develop scripts and automation using Python and GoLang to optimize infrastructure management.
• Ensure high availability, resilience, and security for all cloud solutions, adhering to well-architected framework principles.
• Monitor and optimize cloud performance and costs, applying best practices for multi-cloud setups.
• Collaborate with internal teams for seamless integration and knowledge transfer.
• Maintain comprehensive documentation for all infrastructure setups and processes.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Extensive experience in GCP and AWS, with a strong understanding of multi-cloud networking and security best practices.
• Proficiency in Kubernetes (GKE, EKS) and infrastructure management with Terraform and Helm.
• Hands-on experience with VPC configurations and service meshes (e.g., Istio).
• Solid knowledge of scripting in Python and GoLang for automation and custom tooling.
• Experience implementing security configurations, IAM, and Privileged Access Management (PAM).
• Familiarity with CI/CD tools like GitLab CI/CD and Argo CD.
• Knowledge of well-architected cloud framework principles and governance standards.
• Strong collaboration and communication skills to work closely with cross-functional teams.
• Fluent in English.
