To strengthen the team, our client is seeking an Inspection Coordinator to oversee and manage inspection activities within an EPC environment, ensuring quality, compliance, and efficiency throughout the inspection process.
Your Role
The Inspection Coordinator is responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing inspection activities to ensure that all equipment and materials meet project specifications, industry standards, and regulatory requirements. This role involves close collaboration with inspectors, vendors, contractors, and internal teams to guarantee seamless inspection operations and compliance with the Inspection and Test Plan (ITP).
Key Responsibilities
- Inspection Planning: Review PO requisitions to determine the scope and extent of inspections.
- Coordination & Scheduling: Plan and coordinate inspection visits as per the approved Inspection and Test Plan (ITP).
- Team Assignment: Assign internal or external inspectors/engineers to conduct inspections.
- Report Management: Ensure the timely receipt, review, and approval of Inspection Reports and Punch Lists.
- Issue Resolution: Manage follow-up actions on reported inspection issues, including resolving punch items and re-inspections.
- Compliance Verification: Review and approve Inspection Release Notes to confirm compliance.
- Vendor & Yard Coordination: Facilitate coordination between vendors and yards for pre-commissioning and commissioning activities.
- Punch List Consolidation: Align and consolidate the overall punch list, including outstanding items from all auxiliary equipment orders, with yards and vendors.
What They're Looking For
- Education: Relevant technical degree (Mechanical, Electrical, Quality Engineering, or a related field).
- Experience: Proven experience in inspection coordination within an EPC environment.
- Industry Knowledge: Background in offshore, oil & gas, or marine engineering (preferred).
- Technical Expertise: Strong knowledge of inspection processes, industry standards, and regulatory compliance.
- Process Familiarity: Experience with Inspection and Test Plans (ITP) and vendor coordination.
- Skills: Excellent organizational, planning, and communication skills.
- Stakeholder Management: Ability to manage multiple stakeholders, vendors, and inspection teams.
- Language Proficiency: Fluency in English (written and spoken).
