  • Top Secret Sensitive Compartmented Information (TS/SCI) security clearance


Experience Required

  • Prior service member (O4-O6, E7-E9, CW2-CW5) -OR- 5 years SOF operations experience
  • 5 years’ experience in Joint and/or SOF exercise and scenario design and management to include military training and exercise planning, development, execution and evaluation
  • 5 years’ experience researching and integrating current intelligence and operations to develop scenarios, studies and analysis
  • 3 years of experience creating operational products to identify exercise results and lessons learned to support future exercise planning and requirements
  • 3 years of experience developing and presenting verbal and written products at the general/flag- level command staff
  • 2 years’ experience using Microsoft Office products (e.g., SharePoint, Word, and PowerPoint, Access, Excel etc.)


Job Objective

This position will support United States Special Operations Command (USSOCOM), Concept Development and Integration Division requires Futures Planning and Synchronization (FPS) support services at MacDill Air Force Base (AFB) in Tampa, FL. This is a contracted position under a four-year contract that will provide the Special Operation Forces (SOF) Enterprise with qualified contractor personnel to provide advice, analyses, and assistance in carrying out responsibilities required to support USSOCOM assigned missions. Specific responsibilities and qualifications follow.

Responsibilities

  • Support the development, planning and execution of all levels of joint, Military Service, combined and Headquarters wargames, seminars, workshops, table-top exercises, drills, functional, and live, virtual, and constructive full-scale events, etc.
  • Report findings and/or results from every wargame executed on behalf of the client
  • Develop effective, robust, reliable, and dynamic wargame-related products
  • Assemble, train and lead wargame events by supporting scenario development and scenario scripting for the desired wargame
  • Plan, design, develop, lead wargames from concept through post execution review
  • Create briefs for approval, progress updates, and scenario implementation
  • Provide analytical support to plan, prepare, rehearse, conduct, and assess senior leader seminars, SOF exercises, table-top exercises, and interoperability workshop/conferences.
  • Develop plans of action and milestone schedules
  • Research and prepare staff products, scenario development, moderator guides, and reference materials
  • Attend planning (Ex, Initial, Mid and Final) conferences and workshops with stakeholders to discuss wargame planning, scenario development and scripting
  • Capture lessons learned; incorporating lessons learned into future event scenarios and practices
  • Provide expertise and facilitation support; preparing event summaries, briefing, and after- action reports; and when applicable support the implementation of results
  • Coordinate and assist Action Officers as required in the various planning and execution stages of wargames
  • Participate in wargames-related forums, working groups, external assemblies (i.e. Conferences, briefs, etc.)
  • Travel up to 25% of the time on a monthly basis both domestically and internationally
  • Prepare reports, information papers, and presentations as required utilizing Microsoft Office family of products (e.g., Outlook, PowerPoint, Word, Excel)
  • Develop and maintain an electronic resource, to include key points of contact, to be used for mission continuity that may be accessed by all stakeholders
