ManTech is looking for a highly motivated and qualified Information Systems Security Manager, Process Research IV

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • The Information Systems Security Manager, Process Research IV ensures the day-to-day implementation, oversight, continuous monitoring, and maintenance of the security configuration, practices, and procedures for research systems.
  • They specialize in conducting research, analyzing processes, and developing strategies to enhance the security posture and protect information systems.
  • Their duties include conducting comprehensive research and analysis on the latest trends, best practices, and emerging threats in information security.
  • They provide liaison support between the system owner and other IS security personnel and ensure that selected security controls are implemented and operating as intended during all phases of the IS lifecycle.
  • They ensure that system security documentation is developed, maintained, reviewed, and updated on a continuous basis and conduct required IS vulnerability scans according to risk assessment parameters.
  • They monitor security controls for Information Systems to maintain security Authorized to Operate (ATO) and develop Plan of Action and Milestones (POAMs) in response to identified security vulnerabilities.
  • The Information Systems Security Manager, Process Research IV is a senior position, supervising and providing direction to junior personnel.

Basic qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or advanced degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or other IT discipline
  • 7 years of position-specific relevant experience.
  • DoD 8570 IAM level 2 certification.
  • Familiarity with the use and operation of security tools including Tenable Nessus and/or Security Center, IBM Guardium, HP Weblnspect, Network Mapper (NMAP), and/or similar applications.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in computer science, Cybersecurity or other IT discipline. Relevant industry standard certifications.

Security clearance requirement:

  • Active TS/SCI with the ability to obtain and/or maintain a polygraph.

Physical requirements:

  • Must be able to be in a stationary position more than 50% of the time
  • Must be able to communicate, converse, and exchange information with peers and senior personnel
  • Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a computer

The projected compensation range for this position is $134,700.00-$224,700.00. There are differentiating factors that can impact a final salary/hourly rate, including, but not limited to, Contract Wage Determination, relevant work experience, skills and competencies that align to the specified role, geographic location (For Remote Opportunities), education and certifications as well as Federal Government Contract Labor categories. In addition, ManTech invests in it’s employees beyond just compensation.
