Platinum Technologies currently has an opportunity for a Systems Engineer to support our Program (COOLR).

This role is located in Colorado Springs, CO. Candidate must hold an active DoD TS/SCI clearance. A 9x80 schedule for flexibility.

What You Get To Do.

• Participating in the implementation, maintenance, and support of information technologies, to include Red Hat Enterprise Linux, Oracle Solaris, and Microsoft Windows systems and components
• The primary responsibility for this position is for Microsoft Windows systems
• The Administrator develops, schedules, and performs installations and upgrades to OS/COTS, software, and database packages in accordance with established IT policies and procedures
• Will coordinate the overall integration on new development systems as they transition to sustainment
• Managing appropriate software solutions to ensure server data integrity, monitoring and tuning the system to achieve optimum performance level, monitoring security alerts and application systems, and working with other staff to ensure that all appropriate patches are applied in an automated and timely fashion
  
  
  

Required Skills.

• PowerShell scripting experience highly desired
• Windows patching experience using WSUS
• Experience working in an Agile environment
• Experience developing Ansible playbooks
• Experience using Git, GitLab, ClearQuest,
• ClearCase, VersionOne, or similar tools
• Strong understanding and application of
• cybersecurity practices (STIG compliance,
• system accreditation, etc.)
• Container experience (Docker, Kubernetes, etc)
• Red Hat Enterprise Linux and/or Solaris
• administration experience helpful
• Exceptional troubleshooting skills
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team. Interpersonal relationship skills are a must
  
  
  

Additional Requirements:

• Coordinate, develop, and integrate new systems in both physical and virtualized environments
• Develop and install upgrades to existing Windows systems and assist in developing a Secure Host Baseline (SHB)
• Develop scripts to improve system administration and deployment automation (Ansible, WSUS)
• Develop and apply cybersecurity solutions
• Troubleshoot issues and provide support across the information system
