Responsibilities
Experienced with frequent use and application of technical standards, principles and theories. Works under general supervision, providing solutions to technical problems of moderate scope/complexity. Bachelor's (or equivalent) with 2 - 4years of experience, or a Master's with 0-2 years of experience. Provides expert and second tier technical support and analysis to field engineers and technicians. Provides technical advice and guidance on installation, adaptation, configuration or enhancement of Company technical products, programs and systems. Tests, trains and fields support to customers regarding technical aspects of designated systems and services. Provides expertise for the resolution of technical problems, troubleshoots products and modifies products to customer requirements. Maintains network stability through advanced troubleshooting, timely resolution of incidents, and proactive maintenance to provide the maximum availability and optimal Mean Time To Repair. Provides training to customers. Travel is frequent and work is generally performed at the customer site. Reviews system and network configurations to ensure successful implementation of services into production. Provides expert and second tier technical support for the installation and repair of complex systems and outages. Partners with developers and engineers to reduce re-occurring incidents. Provides consultative assistance during off hours as needed. Senior level knowledge of designated systems. Answers questions about installation, operation, configuration, customization and usage of designated systems and services. Applies senior diagnostic techniques to identify problems, investigate causes and recommend solutions to correct common failures.

This is the projected compensation range for this position. There are differentiating factors that can impact a final salary/hourly rate, including, but not limited to, Contract Wage Determination, relevant work experience, skills and competencies that align to the specified role, geographic location (For Remote Opportunities), education and certifications as well as Federal Government Contract Labor categories. In addition, Arcfield invests in its employees beyond just compensation. Arcfield ’s benefits offerings include, dependent upon position, Health Insurance, Life Insurance, Paid Time Off, Holiday Pay, Short Term and Long-Term Disability, Retirement and Savings, Learning and Development opportunities, wellness programs as well as other optional benefit elections. What You’ll Do
- Once proficient with the system, primary tasking will include coordination of installation activities with customer site representatives, travel to customer sites to install/configure the system, and engagement with product development teams to maintain awareness of new security and functional features being introduced in upcoming system releases.
- In addition to the above, support a broad range of activities including, but not limited to, functional testing, system installation prototyping, customer training, customer technical support, and system hardware staging.
- During system installation, integrate with site infrastructure components such as email servers, file servers, time servers, PKI servers, continuous monitoring systems, VM Servers, and KVM capabilities.
- Support installation and maintenance of engineering environment systems/networks to facilitate installation planning, customer training, and Help Desk operations.
You’ll be a great fit if you…
- Have a BS degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or other related technical field with a BS 2-4 Years, MS 0-2 or HS 8-10.
- Must have a working knowledge of Linux OS, Microsoft Windows, desktop applications (email, file transfer, browsers), computer networking, and VM technologies.
- Work well both individually and in a team environment.
- Have excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a TS/SCI clearance.
- Have a strong working knowledge of UNIX OSs, Microsoft Windows, desktop applications (email, file transfer, browsers), computer networking and protocols, Virtual Machine technologies, UNIX scripting, XML technologies/tools, Active Directory, and MS Exchange.
- Have a basic working knowledge of Security Enhanced Linux (SE Linux).
- Have experience with system integration, network troubleshooting, system troubleshooting, and regular expressions.
- Have familiarity with multi-level secure system architectures and system approval processes.
- Have a good understanding of software development processes sufficient to support collaboration with software engineering teams developing future product capabilities to better meet customer requirements.
- Have an active TS/SCI clearance or TS clearance with ability to obtain SCI
