The Mixed Reality Systems Engineering team has an immediate opening for a highly motivated System Engineer II with experience across silicon, firmware, embedded devices, computer vision, human perception, and display technologies to help us evolve our products.

Responsibilities
- You will document appropriate test requirements and review testing plans to determine the suitability of current test equipment. You’ll also write design verification test cases, and develop and execute moderately complex test plans.
- You will conduct automated testing on moderately complex products and create testing dashboards. You’ll identify complex feature flaws using data analysis and validate features by building prototypes.
- You’ll provide input on a project schedule as you deliver the hardware engineering aspects of a moderately complex feature or product. You’ll also choose available parts and evaluate complex details of materials used in production.
- You will identify common project risks, communicate team progress, and create detailed reports for products and features. You’ll also develop and deliver training, as well as document complex details.

Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of technical engineering experience
- OR Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field AND 2+ years of technical engineering experience
- OR Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.
Other Requirements
Candidates must be able to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements that are required for this role. These requirements include, but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings:
- Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud Background Check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.
- Controlled Technology: This role will require access to information that is controlled for export under export control regulations, potentially under the U.S. International Traffic in Arms Regulations or Export Administration Regulations, the EU Dual Use Regulation, and/or other export control regulations. As a condition of employment, the successful candidate will be required to provide proof of citizenship, U.S. permanent residency, or other protected status (e.g., under 8 U.S.C.
- 1324b(a)(3)) for assessment of eligibility to access the export-controlled information. To meet this legal requirement, and as a condition of employment, the successful candidate’s citizenship will be verified with a valid passport. Lawful permanent residents, refugees, and asylees may verify status using other documents, where applicable.
- Citizenship & Citizenship Verification: This position requires verification of U.S. citizenship due to citizenship- based legal restrictions. Specifically, this position supports United states federal,state, and/or local(or applicable country) United States government agency customers and is subject to certain citizenship-based restrictions where required or permitted by applicable law. To meet this legal requirement, citizenship will be verified via a valid passport.
- 8+ years of technical engineering experience
- OR Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field AND 5+ years of technical engineering experience
- OR Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field AND 2+ years of technical engineering experience
- OR Doctorate degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.
- Previous experience with Augmented Reality Systems Engineering Development.
- Willingness to obtain an TS Clearance, or candidates that possess active TS clearance and are willing to upgrade to TS/SCI (with polygraph).
