The primary purpose of this position is to serve as a Team Leader responsible to their supervisors or managers for assuring that the work of their assigned team is carried out by performing a range of planning, coordinating, coaching, facilitating, and related supportive duties and responsibilities. This position performs official team lead duties over subordinate employees with primarily journeyman level job experience by directing/overseeing projects, assignments, and performing work assignments and/or studies. Provides operational support for the TPS developers and maintainers. Serves as organic source for managing and optimizing avionics test equipment. Designs, develops and provides new, updated, or modified test equipment software and updates/corrects existing avionics items/system software. Provides on-site technical and engineering assistance as required by the System Program Office (SPO) for production, development and maintenance activities to identify and correct software deficiencies. Performs self-test, calibration verification and identifies equipment limitations and inadequacies. Ensures Automated Test Equipment (ATE) integrity and configuration management for developers & maintainers. The flight provides calibration, repair and troubleshooting for testers as well as configuration auditing. Provides operational and sustainment support for all 76 SWEG System Integration Labs. Accomplishes lab operations to include scheduling, configuration management, compliance, calibration, and program management. Supports engineering related tasks such as obsolescence updates, data sanitization, manufacturing, site engineering, and equipment optimization. Qualifications: - U.S. Citizenship - Obtain & maintain Top Secret Security clearance - This is a designated Drug Testing Position - Must be able to pass a pre-employment physical (if applicable) Recruitment Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: 1. Knowledge and understanding of end-item product design, manufacture, assembly, safety of flight, and structural integrity principles. 2. Knowledge of a variety of engineering technician processes and techniques to include work measurements, methods improvement, engineered time standards, MTM, layout designs, and cost analysis. 3. Knowledge of personnel management policies, practices, and procedures, including sexual harassment and Equal Employment Opportunity principles and practices. 4. Ability to plan and organize work assignments to include determining material resources required to accomplish the mission. 5. Ability to resolve difficult problems and recommend workarounds by using personal experience and expertise to the Production Fixer.
