Job Description

*** Must have an active (or ability to obtain and maintain) TS/SCI with CI Polygraph***

  • Construct, erect and repair buildings and other structures made of wood, steel and other materials.
  • Perform required tasks to complete building/room renovations of varying complexity.
  • Ability to patch, tape & texture and paint.
  • Build concrete forms, scaffolding, bridges, shelters, and other structures.
  • Read and interpret blueprints and drawings.
  • Assist other trades during construction project.
  • Conform to building codes and other regulations.
  • Perform layout including selecting, measuring, marking and cutting materials, planning sequences and methods of work.
  • Helpers will assist journeyman with these duties.
  • Must be able to work after hours, weekends, public holidays and possibly shift work to ensure 24 hour coverage to the facility.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Starting Salary Rate: $32/hour + Fringe $4.98/hour

Basic Job Requirements

  • A combination of education and directly related experience equal to eight (8) years*; some locations may have additional or different qualifications in order to comply with local requirements
  • Ability to communicate effectively with audiences that include but are not limited to management, coworkers, clients, vendors, contractors, and visitors
  • Job related technical knowledge necessary to complete the job
  • Ability to attend to detail and work in a time-conscious and time-effective manner *These are the typical years of experience required for this job. Current Fluor employees may be considered for this position either sooner or later, depending on individual performance, potential, and job availability. This applies to all jobs across all functions.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Journeyman Carpentry License/Certification

Salary Range

45,000 to 82,000

Market Rate

The market rate for the role is typically at the mid-point of the salary range; however, variations in final salary are determined by additional factors such as the candidate’s qualifications, relevant years of experience, geographic location, internal pay equity, and prevailing market conditions for the specific role.
