T-Rex Solutions is seeking a NOSC Network Lead to provide daily management and oversight to a team of technicians providing support for a 24x7x365 Network Operations Security Center (NOSC) on a large government program. They will be responsible for providing technical guidance, knowledgeable consulting, and leadership to staff for taking remedial actions to correct network outages, latencies, and issues pertaining to network performance.

This position will typically be located in either Colorado Springs, CO, Stennis, MS, Chandler, AZ, National Capitol Region (NCR) or Remote where applicable. Candidates who meet the minimum qualifications, appropriate clearance level, and are geographically aligned (or the ability to relocate) will be considered first.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee 24x7x365 Tier 2 operations, including the supervision, motivation, and development of a team of technicians
  • Ensure effective analysis, technical expertise, and troubleshooting beyond those available at Tier 1 level as required for incident response, resolution, and recovery related to network management, cloud, and cybersecurity issues
  • Provide continuous tracking and reporting of network component failures and escalations through resolution and restoration of service
  • Measure vendor responses to Tier 2 issues against established SLAs/SOOs
  • Maintain communication between and among stakeholders, developing situational awareness reports to the Government Watch Officer, and further to Tier 3 or other escalation structures as needed
  • Manage staff schedules to ensure coverage for ongoing operations and surge events while meeting all contractual Service Level Agreements (SLAs)
  • Provide guidance to staff in capturing, documenting, and taking appropriate action on each incident
  • Provide information and status updates to team leadership on priority incidents
  • Develop and maintain staff training plan
  • Adjust staff schedules as needed to ensure optimal coverage and minimize response time
  • Identify performance improvement opportunities and implement improvement actions in coordination with and as approved by the leadership team
  • Escalate issues that will have a negative impact to operations as needed
  • Maintain, continuously assess, and recommend improvements to Tier 2 SOPs
  • Serve as a primary interface with Component NOCs/SOCs, Service providers, and vendors

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cyber Security or equivalent education required; additional professional IT experience can be considered in lieu of a degree
  • Five (5 plus) years routing/switching experience in an engineering support capacity in LAN/WAN networks
  • Ten (10 plus) years of experience in government IT contracting
  • Previous experience managing teams in a 24x7x365 shift environment
  • Knowledge of network protocols such as OSPF, BGP, and EIGRP
  • Experience with Cisco command line interface and configuration
  • Experience working with wireless technologies, Virtual Private Networks (VPN), Intrusion Prevention Systems (IPS), WAN Accelerators, and associated technologies
  • Working knowledge of ServiceNow in creating, updating, and closing tickets
  • CCNA certification
  • Active Top Secret Security Clearance

In compliance with pay transparency guidelines, the annual base salary range for this position is $120,000 - $155,000. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. T-Rex considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/training, key skills, internal peer equity, as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.
