We need a data expert like you to bring your expertise to support our clients in the Department of Defense.
As a client-facing Metrics Analyst on our Digital Battlespace Platform team, you’ll work closely with your clients to understand their questions and needs and then dig into their data-rich environments to find the pieces of their information puzzle.
We are seeking a Metrics Analyst to provide high-quality metrics assessments and quantitative analysis for a dynamic defense project involving multiple stakeholders across various Joint Directorates. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in assessing project performance, generating insights from data, and offering data-driven recommendations to stakeholders to ensure alignment with mission objectives. The Metrics Analyst will work closely with cross-functional teams and key decision-makers to gather, analyze, and present relevant metrics, focusing on the successful execution of joint staff initiatives and combatant command exercises. This role requires a strong understanding of defense processes, experience with joint and combatant command structures, and the ability to synthesize complex data into actionable insights. Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $84,600.00 to $193,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees. You Have:
- 3+ years of of experience with defense consulting or mission integration or in a military, intelligence, or law enforcement organization conducting operational level planning, including planning in joint and multi-domain environments
- Experience with joint staff and combatant command structures, particularly in relation to exercises and operational planning
- Experience in a joint operational environment
- Knowledge of software development methodologies, tools and requirements gathering, including Agile, Waterfall, Scrums, or Jira
- Knowledge of CCMD policy and organizational structure
- Knowledge of the Military Decision-Making Process (MDMP), including mission analysis, course of action development, analysis, comparison, recommendation, and approval
- Ability to deliver complex data to both technical and non-technical audiences
- TS/SCI clearance
- Bachelor’s degree
- Experience in technical roles designing or advising in the design of software solutions
- Experience with supporting metrics development for joint staff or combatant command-level exercises
- Experience in a Joint Command or Service operations center
- Knowledge of system integrations and interoperability
- Knowledge of data science and analytics concepts
- Knowledge of DoD requirements and acquisition processes
- Ability to operate in a combined environment, including FVEY, Allies, and Partners
- Possession of excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Possession of excellent presentation skills
