The United States Space Force (USSF) at Los Angeles Space Force Base is searching for a Material Leader for Data Transport & Networking (NH-1101-04, GS-14/15 Equivalent). Description: Materiel Leaders (ML) are the heart of the future! As an ML, you will be using your skill, knowledge and experience to lead a diverse group of people in programmatic excellence. You will be charged with developing the next generation of leaders and forming strong integrated product teams with functional expertise. You will drive the acquisition squadron's understanding of future missions, system exploitation, buying power, and major acquisition excellence all while shaping their culture, structure and health of the Tactical C3 Acquisition Delta. Candidate must demonstrate knowledge, proficiency and experience in managing acquisition/development programs, leading people, leading change and program execution to include program schedule, risk management, strategic thinking, with technical knowledge of space system engineering, technical reviews and business management (contract types, source selection and budget exhibits). Minimum of PM practitioner or equivalent and ability to get DAU PM practitioner within two years. Minimum of two years space program office (SPO) experience. This is a SAR 5 position, and the candidate is required to obtain, or be capable of obtaining a Top Secret clearance with access to Sensitive Compartmented Information. The position is subject to random drug testing. The selected candidate will be required to file an OGE Form 450, Confidential Financial Disclosure Report, upon appointment and is required to file annually. A commitment to quality and continuous improvement is essential as is the ability to adapt to evolving industry trends and technologies. Key Skills and Abilities: 1. Knowledge of the policies, practices, regulations, and laws concerning the acquisition management process and initiatives. 2. Knowledge of safety and security regulations, practices, and procedures. 3. Knowledge of the missions, roles, functions, organizational structures, and operation of the DOD, Air Force, and organizations that govern, interface with, and/or influence the systems acquisition process. 4. Skill to plan, organize, and direct the functions and staff in critical aspects of development and production, support of systems, subsystems, or equipment and to coordinate various aspects of systems acquisition such as engineering, contracting, financial management, configuration, test, and manufacturing. 5. Ability to supervise, mentor, motivate, appraise, and work with subordinate supervisors and non-supervisory employees. 6. Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, clearly, concisely, with technical accuracy and to use computers and a variety of software programs and databases, gather and analyze a variety of program information, make sound judgments concerning program progress, and effectively communicate recommendations orally and in writing to higher organizational management and contractors. Requirements: 1. Must be a U.S. Citizen. 2. Employee must be able to obtain and maintain a Top-Secret/ SCI security clearance. 3. Required to handle and safeguard sensitive and/or classified information in accordance with regulations to reduce potential compromise; must obtain and maintain the appropriate security clearance for the position. 4. This position is eligible for telework, 2-4 days per pay period. Employee must reside within commuting distance of worksite. Schedule and percentage depends on leadership, the employee and the situation. 5. PCS/Incentives are authorized. 6. May be required to travel by military or commercial aircraft in the performance of TDY assignments. 7. May be required to work overtime on an unscheduled or emergency basis. 8.
