Job Description Summary
The Associate Program Manager supports the assigned Program Manager in execution of the assigned programs. Works under the guidance of a lead program manager who carries the responsibility of the project execution and future program development. Provides support to cost and schedule controls and assists in tracking technical and programmatic execution. In some cases, may take on the authority of managing specific portions of a program such as a subcontract but in all cases reports functionally to the assigned Program Manager.

Duties/Responsibilities
Job Description:
- Assists in the development of project documentation to include, but not limited to, program plans, schedules, statements of work, risk tracking, purchase requisitions.
- Performs data entry and management using prescribed business tools.
- Works with the technical team to implement and update Program Plans and Integrated Master Schedule.
- Maintains actions and problem tracking systems
- Ability to apply basic administrative principles.
- Ability to learn new principles and learn Draper’s business tools.
- Works under the supervision of the Associate Director for Portfolio Execution and the assigned program manager.
- Regularly interacts with project team staff.
- Effectively conveys work results to the project team and supervisors in oral and written form; clearly communicates with management and peers on routine matters.
- Ability to apply basic program management knowledge, skills, tools, and techniques to project/program activities to meet the successful delivery and of execution of assigned programs.
- Ability to organize programmatic information for effective planning, execution, project monitoring and control, and decision
- making
- Ability to integrate team member inputs into reports and presentations for, and as directed, by the program manager.
- Strong written and oral communication skills.

Additional Job Description
- Supports the project management team in the planning and execution of research, development, and test.
- Supports the lead program manager in project planning with the development and implementation of program plans, Integrated Master Schedules, and other supporting planning artifacts.
- Assists in the execution of projects by monitoring project status and providing program status updates to include completion of routine project management reviews, customer status reports, and other project documentation.
- Maintains action items list and problem tracking systems, and in support of the program manager, works with the Program team for updates and resolution development.
- Assists proposal development teams in the development and delivery of project proposals to external customers and ensures adherence to the Draper proposal process.
- Assists the Program manager with the identification, review, and analysis of business intelligence information supporting detailed market analysis.
- Supports the program manager with the management of large-scale contract vehicles (BOAs, IDIQs, OTAs). Coordinates participation in annual meetings, opportunity reviews, and other activities.
- Assists the program manager with identifying potential opportunities for possible pursuit, and with program manager direction, coordinates those opportunities. Tracks white paper and proposal submissions through the capture process and reports status as directed by the program manager.
- Supports the project management team in risk identification/mitigation and its tracking
- Supports, as needed, the execution of technical portfolios through interaction with the program business area leads and portfolio manager.
