Job Description:

Apex Systems, a World-Class Technology Solutions Provider, is currently hiring for a Global Network Engineer on behalf of their client. Ideal candidates will have the experience below, please note only qualified applicants will be contacted.

Position: Global Network Engineer (2052468)

Security Clearance Required: Secret #clearance

Pay Rate Range: $130-150k/year

Duration: long term contract

Location: Colorado Springs, CO

Additional Details: IAT Level II Cert Required

Day to Day Responsibilities:

• Design, implementation, and troubleshooting of networking equipment including switches, routers, and firewalls.
• At a minimum, the candidate would have working knowledge of spanning tree, trunking, routing protocols, first hop redundancy protocols, and ip subnetting.
• Demonstrated experience for the design and execution of network engineering configuration changes and documentation in a complex IT environment.
  
  

Required Skills and Experience:

• Cisco Nexus/Catalyst switches, Juniper routers and switches, Fortinet firewalls, Palo Alto firewalls.
• Experience with WANs, encryption devices, VxLAN, multicast, BGP, OSPF, and Wireshark.
• Familiarity with SIPRNet, MDACNet, or other DOD networks.
• Certifications such as COMPTIA Network+, Juniper JNCIA, and Cisco CCNA/CCNP.
• Understanding of the project lifecycle, related processes, and traditional systems engineering skills.
• Experience in reviewing work products produced by a team of engineers for quality, completeness, and adherence to established procedures and policies.
• Active TOP SECRET SCI clearance preferred
