The Air Force Civilian Service (AFCS) is seeking three (3) Full-Time Digital Information Dominance Officers (GS-1560/1550/1515-13/14) to serve at North American Defense Command (NORAD) and the United States Northern Command (USNORTHCOM), Office of the Commander, Chief Data Office (CD), Peterson Space Force Base (SFB), Colorado Springs, Colorado.
Salary: $105,985 – 162,817 based on experience.
Relocation expenses authorized for those who qualify.

Qualifications/Requirements
In this position, you will apply Information technology (IT) and data analysis experience to evaluate and translate command and customer requirements into functional digital transformation projects. Identify traditional and non-traditional data to provide recommendations to enhance the commands’ domain awareness. You will be able to document and scope projects in appropriate formats to meet NORAD and USNORTHCOM requirements. Represent the directorate at meetings, conferences, and key leader engagements, while developing and maintaining effective work relationships. Through established relationships, you will proactively enhance the commands’ global integration through collaborative initiatives and projects.
Must be a U.S. Citizen
Must be able to obtain & maintain a Top Secret (TS) Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) Security clearance for intelligence-related Special Sensitive information, or involvement in Top Secret Special Access Programs (SAP).
This is a designated Drug Testing Position.
Education Requirements
Degree in operations research; or at least 24 semester hours in a combination of operations research, mathematics, probability, statistics, mathematical logic, science, or subject-matter courses requiring substantial competence in college-level mathematics or statistics. At least 3 of the 24 semester hours must have been in calculus.
Highly Desired
A master’s degree in operations research or related technical disciplines such as Data Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, Engineering, or comparable leadership experience as a “technology executive” in a software company.
TRANSCRIPTS MUST BE INCLUDED.
Knowledge of systems analyses, concepts, and techniques in the areas of Artificial Intelligence (AI), Machine-learning (ML), data mining, deep learning, distributed computing, optimal heuristic search, scholastic modeling, probability modeling, and data analytics.
Skill in applying advanced methods, assessments, research, and training techniques to the solution of advanced networking, configuration, software, and hardware problems to review unit structures, missions, training guidance, and available training data of supported units.
Ability to implement data solutions that integrate data access layers across systems utilizing machine learning and other predictive analytic techniques to include natural language processing, clustering, decision trees, and association to data.
Ability to recommend cloud technology and develop applications for various cloud service provider data management solutions.
Ability to analyze cloud technology and develop applications for various cloud service provider data management solutions and possess Cloud certifications, such as Amazon Web Services (AWS), Microsoft, Google Certified Developer.
Ability to create and implement a strategic vision for Data Operations that meets required intent for digital transformation efforts.
Duties may entail visits to NORAD and USNORTHCOM mission locations, which may be in harsh environments, such as the Arctic Circle and access to which is often physically constrained.
