Raytheon - Air and Space Defense Systems (ASDS) is seeking an Associate Director, Program Manager (PM) to implement operations on a large-scale (~100M annual sales) program that utilizes agile software development and includes both new code development and sustainment of existing missions within the Space Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance (S-ISR) Sub-Strategic Business Unit (SSBU).

What You Will Do

  • Provide leadership, direction, and implementation management of an Agile software program with multiple subcontractors
  • Implement current development, sustainment efforts and business operations
  • Define program tasking/milestones and monitor adherence to program budgets, plans, cost, schedule, and technical performance
  • Manage profit and loss, AOP development and execution, and program Estimate at Completions (EACs) input set strategy, vision and direction for successful implementation
  • Lead by example and champion program management best practices
  • Coordinate and align interactions, dependencies, and transactions between customers and other primes
  • Set program priorities, resolve conflicts and barriers, implement gates and major reviews with the customer
  • Support proposal activities in support of on-contract growth and adjacent opportunities supporting the portfolio
  • Interface with stakeholders and government customers
  • Travel, up to 25%, to participate in domestic business engagements with customers, partners, and teammates

Qualifications You Must Have

  • Typically requires a Bachelor's degree in a related discipline (Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) preferred)
  • Minimum 12 years of relevant experience in Program or Capture Management
  • Demonstrated experience in capturing new business/program(s), proposals, and customer engagement
  • Experience with development and application of integrated master plan and schedule, Risk and Opportunity Management, Earned Value Management
  • Experience engaging with stakeholder management to include executive leaders
  • Experience in the leadership and execution of modern software development to include agile development at scale
  • Experience leading cross-functional teams to include, but not limited to, any combination of the following: Engineering, Contracts, Finance, Procurement/Supply Chain, Manufacturing/Operations, and/or administrative functions
  • Demonstrated experience working with Program Manager Best Practices; to include early capture milestones (strategy, bid approval, etc)
  • Completion of Program Management Level 4 and Program Management Professional (PMP) certifications within 6 months of start date (contract requirement)
  • Experience working with Microsoft Office Suites (Excel, PowerPoint, etc)
  • An active and in-scope Top Secret/SCI U.S. government issued security clearance is required for consideration. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance (the ability to obtain a CI Poly is required after hire)

We Are RTX

The salary range for this role is 143,000 USD - 287,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

Specific benefits are dependent upon the specific business unit as well as whether or not the position is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement.

Hired applicants may be eligible for annual short-term and/or long-term incentive compensation programs depending on the level of the position and whether or not it is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement. Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company’s performance.

This role is a U.S.-based role. If the successful candidate resides in a U.S. territory, the appropriate pay structure and benefits will apply.
