ManTech is seeking a motivated, career and customer-oriented GIS Data Steward to join our team in St. Louis, MO! JOB DUTIES INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:
- Responsible for accuracy and consistency of geospatial data management, developing and maintaining data standards, and ensuring data is protected and compliant with office and agency regulations and standards.
- Performs in-depth analysis of analytic operations and knowledge management issues across organizational and intra-IC boundaries and clearly articulates key findings.
- Review analytic products for cogent arguments, tradecraft, industry and agency standards, and adequate support for conclusions; routinely tests analytic rigor of analytic content.
- Stay up to date with industry trends and emerging best practices in data management, governance, quality and stewardship.
- Detail-oriented, analytical, and adept at problem solving to address data-related issues and coordinate the implementation of data improvement initiatives.
- Maintain data governance artifacts and support audits and compliance requirements.
- Analyze complex data landscapes, identify data risks, and define mitigation strategies. BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
- 10 years of GIS experience with a Bachelor’s Degree in a Geographic field. Professional certification(s) in a relevant GIS field may be substituted for 6 months of experience.
- 5 years of experience in geospatial data management, data governance, or data stewardship roles, preferably in a complex organizational environment.
- Proficient in SQL and have foundational understanding of database technologies with the ability to analyze and profile data.
- Familiarity with data privacy regulations and their impact on data management practices.
- Strong understanding of data management principals, data governance frameworks, and data quality concepts.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross functional teams and stakeholders.
- Excellent documentation and organizational skills
- Proficient in ESRI suite of tools, geodatabase technologies, and web capabilities
- Understanding of geospatial data metadata, standards, and implementation PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- ESRI Model Builder and/or Python/ArcPy experience SECURITY CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS:
- Active TS/SCI with ability to obtain and maintain a Polygraph PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50%.
- Must be able to communicate, converse, and exchange information with peers and senior personnel.
- The person in this position needs to occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc. #GEOINTopportunities
