How an Organizational Change Manager will Make an Impact:
Organizational Change Management:
- Develop and implement comprehensive OCM plans, ensuring alignment with program goals and objectives.
- Lead OCM efforts during project launches and transitions, including new technologies, processes, or team structures.
- Conduct impact assessments and develop mitigation strategies.
- Collaborate with program managers to align OCM activities with program strategies.
- Provide insight and support during changes, tailoring execution plans to meet mission and program milestones.
- Lead development of specific projects and proactively drive change in people, processes, and tools.
- Serve as a catalyst in technical and people leadership to harmonize team inputs into a common change approach.
- Embed OCM strategies within ITSM processes.
- Lead workshops to educate IT teams on OCM principles.
- Track adoption of ITSM-related changes and identify areas for improvement.
- Bring technical domain knowledge in OCM to enhance team capabilities.
- Involve stakeholders in OCM initiatives, addressing their needs and concerns.
- Create communication plans to keep stakeholders informed and engaged.
- Foster strong relationships with stakeholders, serving as a trusted advisor.
- Establish feedback mechanisms to capture insights and adjust OCM strategies.
- Align OCM efforts with strategic objectives.
- Train and coach leaders on managing change within their teams.
- Spearhead large-scale change initiatives, coordinating cross-functional teams.
- Capture and document success stories from OCM initiatives.
- Drive continual improvement in OCM processes and stay informed of industry trends.
- Standardize OCM practices across the organization.
Education:
- Bachelor’s in Computer Science, Engineering, or Business-related field.
- 15 years of progressive technical leadership experience, or 19 years in lieu of a degree.
- Demonstrated knowledge and experience in OCM consulting, focusing on leveraging people, processes, and technology for rapid change in unclassified and classified environments.
- Must have an active Secret clearance and be able to obtain a TS/SCI.
- Strong communication, analytical, and time management skills.
- Presentation skills for face-to-face meetings with clients.
- Experience with the Kotter Model of Organizational Change on an Enterprise IT contract.
- Experience working with Government Customers, specifically the US Military.
