Lead System Administrator/Network Engineer

KBR is seeking a Lead IT System Administrator/Network Engineer to our team in the Washington, DC metro area. The Lead IT System Administrator and Network Engineer is responsible for overseeing the management and administration of customer IT infrastructure and may be expected to manage the teams providing test tool development and automation services. This will include leading teams conducting end-to-end solution testing and system demos.

Responsibilities

  • Demonstrated experience leading a team of system and cloud administrators, IT security engineers, and software engineers delivering network, workstation, and application support across an organization.
  • Have a comprehensive understanding of systems development lifecycle and enterprise systems architecture, and should have experience or working knowledge with Amazon Web Services (AWS) or an equivalent Cloud-based architecture.
  • Lead the teams conducting end-to-end solution testing and system demos
  • Have experience or working knowledge in performing analysis of a similar system and use the results to take early actions and recognize when interface impacts may occur.
  • Experience or working knowledge planning and leading an agile, fast-paced engineering and development team and show experience transitioning bare metal capabilities to a cloud infrastructure.
  • Responsible for overseeing the management and administration of IT infrastructure for all Integration & Image Quality Office (TAC) spaces, and may be expected to manage the teams providing test tool development and automation services.
  • Knowledge and hands-on experience administering Windows, UNIX, and Cloud based systems, and will have knowledge or expertise demonstrating the ability to successfully work with NGA’s IT support offices and contracts to accomplish Government requirements.

Qualifications And Skills Requirements

  • 7+ years' experience
  • Experience as a Systems Administrator/Network Engineer for development/integration programs.
  • Experience or working knowledge implementing and managing Virtual Private Cloud (VPC) instances to host tools and/or services across multiple domains.
  • Demonstrated success coordinating across offices, organizations, and contracts to accomplish system, network, and infrastructure access/changes.
  • Experience or working knowledge with DevOps platforms, pipelines, processes, and support tools (e.g. Pivotal Cloud Foundry, Jenkins, Redmine, etc.)
  • Experience or working knowledge in the application of security policy, procedures, and technology to include ICD 503 requirements, Cross Domain Devices, PKI, Attribute Based Access Control (ABAC), Secure Socket Layer (SSL), and system hardening/certification testing.
  • Demonstrated analytical skills to identify root causes, impediments, and solutions.
  • Experience or working knowledge identifying and addressing system/application security vulnerabilities, leading to receipt of Authority to Operate (ATO).
  • Experience or working knowledge supporting the planning and associated with a T&E environment. scheduling events

Security Clearance Requirements: Active TS/SCI (with poly preferred)
