A week in the life of a Software Engineer III:

• Collaborate in designing and shaping architecture to meet project goals
• Develop user interfaces, automated workflows, data repositories, charts, and dashboards
• Identify and recommend improvements to streamline business processes
• Gather requirements and align technical solutions with business needs through stakeholder communication
  
  

Job Requirements

• Active TS/SCI clearance with SCI eligibility required
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science (CS), Information Systems, or equivalent experience
• DoD 8570 IAT Level II Certification required (e.g., Security+ CE, CCNA-Security, CySA+, GICSP, GSEC, CND, or SSCP)
• 8+ years of software development experience
• 3-5 years' experience in data analysis and reporting
• Extensive experience with Jira/Confluence administration, including user permissions, workflows, and custom dashboards
• Skilled in data mining, pattern recognition, and data visualization (Tableau, Power BI, or similar tools)
• Familiar with Agile practices (e.g., Scrum/XP)
• Proficient in SQL and Oracle databases
• Experience in RHEL Linux administration, including system updates and troubleshooting
• Coding experience with front-end (HTML, JavaScript) and back-end (ASP.NET, C#, XML, JSON) languages
• Knowledgeable in data transformation and preparation
• Strong project and time management abilities with skills in capturing requirements and translating them into technical solutions
• Regularly discuss future technical capabilities with leadership and help plan new website features and improve program functionality
  
  

AMERICAN SYSTEMS is committed to pay transparency for our applicants and employee-owners. The salary/hourly range for this position is $160,000- $180,000. Actual compensation will be determined based on several factors permitted by law.
