Amentum is currently seeking a System Administrator- Network Tools to support an IT Managed Services program in Albuquerque, New Mexico. The overall program includes a 500+ work force performing Enterprise IT support, Service Desk, and Telecommunications support across multiple facilities and locations, for classified and unclassified telecommunications and information technology (IT) systems.
You will be a part of a team that delivers secure, consistent, and capable network and virtual services to ensure faster realization of business value to the client and its customers. Provides secure, consistent, and universally available network infrastructures and virtual services to meet corporate and mission IT needs.
As a member of the team, you will:

You will be a part of a team that delivers secure, consistent, and capable network and virtual services to ensure faster realization of business value to the client and its customers. Provides secure, consistent, and universally available network infrastructures and virtual services to meet corporate and mission IT needs.
As a member of the team, you will:
- Provision, configure, and manage physical and virtual servers, as well as the software that runs on the servers and the hardware that supports them.
- Install and troubleshoot IT resources, establish, and manage user accounts, upgrade and patch software, and perform backup and recovery tasks.
- Be familiar with network automation, monitoring, orchestration, troubleshooting, and provisioning tools, such as InMon products, AKIPS, Radiator AAA tools, application performance management products, and network performance management products.
- Must have an Associate’s degree and 4 years of experience OR High School degree/GED and 7 years of experience.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a TOP SECRET (TS) or DOE Q Government Clearance. Note: US Citizenship is required to obtain a TOP SECRET (TS) or DOE Q Clearance.
- Complete knowledge of networking principles for conjuring and maintaining the organization of the network
- Proper understanding all types of hardware including routers, switches, wires, and other essential equipment.
- Knowledge of the common operating systems such as Linux, MS OS
- Knowledge of IP addressing and some common networking protocols like IPv4 and IPv6.
- Experience performing any network performance issues such as system crash.
- Self-starter
- Strong advance problem solving skills.
- Basic knowledge of some scripting languages such as Python, Pearl and PHP.
- Knowledge of Project Management and documentation skills.
- Solaris 11 Unix Certification
- CompTIA Security +
- CompTIA Network +
- Microsoft Certified System Engineer (MCSE)
- CCNA Certification
