NexThreat is looking for an Electrical Engineer to join our team! In this role you will get to provide Electrical Engineering support to design and construction oversight for Facilities Design and Construction projects for a prominent DoD customer.

Background

The Design and Engineering (D&E) Team provides technical support to Installation & Logistics. The D&E team will provide engineering design review, change order reviews, review of engineering calculations, technical studies, white paper development, and modeling.

POSITION OVERVIEW: Electrical Engineer serving as a technical consultant supporting the completion of a wide range of engineering assignments, including such things as analysis of technical issues, review of technical documents, performance of field inspections, and development of technical papers.

Responsibilities

  • Owner's representative/consulting engineer on electrical design effort. Includes assisting with:
  • Creation of Scope of Work documents for design-build (DB) and design-bid-build (DBB) projects
  • Review and evaluation of DB and DBB proposals.
  • Review of design drawings, documents, calculations and specifications for compliance with applicable codes, regulations and design standards.
  • Review and respond to RFIs, change orders and submittals.
  • May be assigned to a project or organizational team, or as a lead engineer for a specific discipline on a small to intermediate-size project.
  • Provide technical consultations for interdisciplinary analytical studies and analyses.
  • Conduct surveys, studies, and site investigations.
  • Help determine budget estimates and staffing requirements for the defined scope and schedule.
  • Provides input and technical guidance to CAD Designer/Drafters, Designers, and lower-level Engineers working on the same project.

Technical Skills And Qualifications

  • SCADA experience preferred.
  • Good communication and analytical skills.
  • Working knowledge and proficiency with MS Office Suite of word processing and integrated software applications.
  • Excellent multi-tasking and organizational skills.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Self-Motivated
