The NGMC Microelectronics Design & Applications (MDA) business area is seeking Science, Technology, Engineering, Math (STEM) students for an internship opportunity. MDA is leading efforts to transform computing, combining the unique properties of superconductivity and quantum mechanics to develop revolutionary energy-efficient computing systems. You will work in a fast-paced team environment alongside a broad array of scientists and engineers to make these next generation processing solutions a reality.
What you will get to do
An intern may perform a variety of duties in the cryogenic, electronic, software, mechanical, or electromechanical areas. Potential opportunities include analog/digital electrical or mechanical design, simulation, hardware test and troubleshooting. Work with state-of-the-art Computer Aided Design (CAD) tools in development of custom hardware and integrated circuit designs.
This position requires work onsite at our Mission Systems Sector facility in Linthicum, MD

Bachelor’s: $25.75 to $35.75 per hour
Master’s: $36.50 to $44.00 per hour

Salary Range: $20 - $44
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.

Basic Qualifications

- Be a student who is enrolled full-time and pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree from an accredited college/university and will be enrolled full time in Spring 2025.
- Be majoring in or having majored in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Math) degree
- Be available to work full-time (40 hours per week) for at least 10 weeks during Spring 2025.
- Be able to obtain a U.S. Government security clearance (U.S. citizenship is a pre-requisite)

- Have an overall cumulative GPA of 3.0/4.0 or higher
- Have prior internship or research experience in related field
