As a Systems Engineer II, you will be responsible for managing and monitoring all installed systems and infrastructure.
Who You Are and What You Need:
• Bachelor's degree in System Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering Science, Engineering Management. Five (5) years of systems engineering experience on projects with similar software may be substituted for a bachelor's degree
• Fourteen (14) years' experience as a SE in programs and contracts of similar scope, type and complexity required
What You Will Do:
Manage and ensure system requirements align with defined architectures like DoDAF and SOA, contributing to system engineering documentation such as plans and specifications. Assist in developing, allocating, and refining system and functional requirements for hardware, software, and personnel components. Coordinate action items from various reviews and participate in Integrated Product Teams to design new capabilities and allocate budgets. Generate alternative system designs, define verification methods, and review work breakdown structures and integrated master plans. Participate in interface design and changes, and derive detailed lower-level requirements from higher-level ones. Develop requirements for Information Assurance Services and implement SOA solutions. Review system engineering documentation for accuracy and comprehensiveness, and capture interface designs in a common format. Assess program risks, plan verification efforts, and prepare time-line analysis diagrams. Establish processes for managing requirement changes and maintaining system baseline integrity. Support DoD Certification/Accreditation and Joint Capability Integration Development System documents. Provide technical direction for complex systems, develop operational concepts, and conduct quantitative performance analysis. Coordinate system integration activities to ensure interface coverage across multiple teams.
