IT System Analyst (Reitz, Free State)

RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Assist in the planning, design of new applications and enhancements to existing applications.
2. Meet with decision makers, system owners, and end users to define business requirements and system goals, and identify and resolve business system issues.
3. Ensure compatibility and interoperability of in-house and 3rd party computing systems.
4. Review and analyse the effectiveness and efficiency of existing systems and develop strategies for improving or further leveraging these systems.
5. Assist in the deployment of new applications and enhancements to existing applications.
6. Conduct research on hardware and software products to support purchasing decisions and justify recommendations.
7. Create system models, specifications, diagrams, and charts to provide direction to system programmers.
8. Coordinate and conduct in-depth tests, including end-user reviews, for modified and new systems.
9. Provide orientation and training to end users for all modified and new systems.
10. Ongoing system support to business
11. Handling of financial reconciliations and enquiries
12. Root cause analysis and reporting

REQUIREMENTS

1. Batchelors degree/National Diploma/BTech in computer science, information science, management information systems
2. 5+ years experience working in a similar tole
3. Experience in overseeing the design, and implementation of software and hardware solutions, systems, or products.
4. Extensive experience with core software applications, including NAV & BC.
5. Understanding of basic Accounting principles
6. Analytical and creative problem-solving abilities.
7. Ability to conduct research into systems issues and products as required.
8. Ability to communicate ideas in both technical and user-friendly language.
9. Ability to prioritize and execute tasks effectively in a high-pressure environment.
10. Strong customer service orientation.
11. Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment
12. Be willing to relocate to the Free State at own expense
