KEY RESPONSIBILES
- Manage and lead the inbound warehouse operations (receiving, storage, factory materials issue).
- Strong people leadership and management ability to ensure the teams are working efficiently and effectively to control costs and prevent incidents.
- Ensure a high accuracy of physical to system stock accuracy is always maintained, by monitoring and investigating stock movement processes.
- Enforce high standards of housekeeping to align with ISO 22716 requirements
- Management of forklift driver behavior through the telematics system to ensure a safe environment at all time.
- Management of all warehouse equipment including the fleet of forklifts.
- Management of the supplier delivery receiving process (bookings, capacity, receipt accuracy, approvals, put away and returns).
- Reconciliation, storage management & write off, of obsolete and rejected materials.
- Ensure on time (just in time) and accurate picking of materials for the factory operation (mixing and filling) and oversight of the accuracy of material issue and credit transactions.
- Reporting on warehouse efficiency, factory wastage & incidents
- Oversight of the procurement and storage of factory consumable materials
- Management of yard operations, including returnable supplier materials (cartons, pallets etc.).
- Oversight of the waste management operations
REQUIREMENTS
- Tertiary qualification in Supply Chain/Warehousing/Logistics (or similar)
- 5 Years experience in a Warehouse Manager role (FMCG will be an added advantage)
- Experience working on an ERP system (Syspro & RiteScan will be an added advantage)
- Experience working on a Warehouse Management System (WMS)
- Experience in stock management
- Ability to work in a fast paced and driven environment
- Have a valid drivers license and own transport
