Key responsibilities
Program Implementation and Management
Support and coordinate with government partners including PHD, OD, and RHs at the provincial and district levels in implementing program activities as outlined in the annual collaboration agreements
Plan and manage budget for eye health service delivery in the five target provinces based on the annual collaboration agreement to ensure outcomes and sustainability of the activities
Assess and provide necessary support to partners to address challenges in delivering the activities outlined in the agreements, including but not limited to identifying appropriate
technical/equipment/instruments/medicines/other supplies needs, the lack of capacity/infrastructure, and coordinate accordingly with Seva Foundation internal team to address the challenges.
Ensure integration of GEDSI principles into service delivery activities to ensure no one is left behind in the eye service delivery
Stakeholder collaboration, system strengthening and capacity building
- Attend provincial technical working group monthly meeting and other meetings with provincial stakeholders to ensure alignment and integration of eye health service delivery and program activities with the broader health sector
- Identify capacity gaps and facilitate trainings and learning activities to build capacities of partners eye care personnel
- Work closely with the partners and team to share lessons and learning, and in ensuring that impacts and outcomes are sustainable and contribute to system strengthening
- Work closely with Program Coordinator for Outreach and Demand Creation to ensure alignment and complementary field work and demand creation activities.
Data Collection, monitoring and evaluation, and reporting
- Coordinating data collection and reporting from RH into Seva reporting template and system
- Closely monitor performance and monthly outcomes that implemented by partners to ensure achievement of targets as outlined in the agreements, and seek support from Senior Program Manager if needed
- Support the Senior Program Manager in preparing monthly, quarterly, bi-annual and annual reports for partner ministries and other stakeholders as required
- Coordinate with RHs to collect case studies, photos, consent forms for human interest stories and advocacy purposes.
Research
- Provide administrative and logistics support to research activities that will be carried out by the NGO and their partners
- Contribute to analyzing and writing of research outputs
- Perform any other tasks as requested by the Senior Program Manager.
Requirements
Masters or bachelor s degree in health sciences, particularly in eye health (i.e: optometrist, optician, orthoptist, ophthalmic or refraction nurse)
5+ years of work experience in public health projects, especially in eye health
Knowledge of the health sector in Cambodia, and experience in working with and building capacity and systems of government at the sub-national level
Microsoft Office (advanced excel, PowerPoint, Word), data analysis skills, and experience in report writing in English is essential
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills in English and Khmer with the ability to collaborate, develop and maintain strong relationships with other teams.
