Our client, a leading FMCG company, is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer in Riyadh, KSA. The role involves managing and maintaining the company Mechanical system according to company and international standards. Responsibilities include overseeing project execution, coordinating with contractors, and ensuring timely completion. The position also requires controlling all project aspects, including planning, material delivery, and installation compliance.
Responsibilities:
- Determining project specification by studying user requirements, performance standards; completing necessary technical studies; preparing engineering deliverables and cost estimates.
- Ensuring the project installation runs to schedule and to company standards, managing installation work, and finding solutions to problems that may cause delays, such as the late arrival of materials.
- Playing a role in onsite project meetings to ensure a local or overseas project is successful, including surveyors, site foremen, subcontractors, and the client who has or is going to commission the work.
- Maintaining quality control procedures - this necessitates regular testing of materials, visual inspections of work, and works as an integrated part of the project sit.
- Leading regular safety checks or surveys to ensure company safety regulations are kept.
- Assisting Project Manager to prepare planning and implementation of project, define project task , resource requirements & manage project budget. Upon completion, assist to evaluate the project/improvements, closure formalities.
- Preparing and interpreting blueprints, schematic drawings, layouts, and other visual aids in cooperation with the AutoCAD Draftsman.
- Preparing technical drawing specifications if any on site editing have taken place in cooperation with the AutoCAD Draftsman.
- Performing mechanical and electrical onsite checkup surrounding the following: mechanical devices, components, engines, environmental control, materials handling, machine tools, automated manufacturing equipment, and power producing machines.
- Determining project schedule by studying project plan and specifications; calculating time requirements, sequencing project elements & Maintain full scale Project Plan & Time lines
- Creating and reviewing the Project Documents related to Scope, Cost, Time, Project Specifications, Procurements, Mechanical tender documents, BOQ, Contractual submittals and other Project related documents.
- Requesting for quote, quote review, comparison, supplier evaluation and purchase support.
- Coordinating within the project team as well as with other departments to implement the project for the department.
- Complying with Health, Safety and Environment regulations and working practices of the company when carrying out duties.
- Executing Management directives as required.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
- Professional experience of 15+ years.
- Proficiency in LV, HV, FA, Control System & Automation; Project Design, Execution & Validation.
- Proficiency in working with MS office programs.
- Proficiency in working with AutoCAD.
- Proficiency in Project Management Tools & Methodologies.
- Proficiency in managing workforce.
- Proficiency in English is a must.
