Job Overview

We're seeking to hire an experienced professional "Engineering Manager" who shall oversee the development and execution of projects, manages budgets, and supervise multiple teams. They collaborate with other management personnel, provide instructions to engineering teams, and ensure the successful completion of projects on time and within budget. 

The position is based in North Lusail, Qatar

Engineering Manager Key Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Develop and execute project plans, considering timelines, budgets, and resources.
  • Lead and manage a team of engineers, providing guidance, support, and fostering a collaborative work environment.
  • Ensure engineering designs meet project specifications, standards, and regulations.
  • Oversee the construction phase, coordinating with contractors, suppliers, and ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards.
  • Monitor project budgets, control costs, and seek efficiencies in resource allocation.
  • Identify potential risks and develop strategies to mitigate them, ensuring projects are delivered on time & within budget.
  • Implement and enforce quality control processes to ensure the highest standards in construction projects.
  • Ensure projects adhere to local, state, and federal regulations, obtaining necessary permits and approvals.
  • Maintain clear communication with clients, providing updates, addressing concerns, and ensuring satisfaction with project progress.
  • Stay abreast of technological advancements and implement relevant tools to enhance project efficiency and outcomes.
  • Address engineering challenges, conflicts, and unforeseen issues, proposing effective solutions.
  • Foster collaboration between engineering teams, other departments, and external stakeholders to promote seamless project execution.
  • Identify areas for process improvement, implement best practices, and contribute to the company's overall efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Prioritize and enforce safety protocols on construction sites to ensure the well-being of workers and compliance with safety regulations.
  • Maintain accurate project documentation, including plans, reports, and correspondence.

Engineering Manager Education and Qualifications:

  • BA in engineering, construction management, or a related field 
  • Relevant certifications, such as Professional Engineer, MMUP, etc. is a must
  • A minimum of 10 years' experience in Infrastructure Construction.
