We are seeking to hire a "Global Category Lead - Skin Care" who is in charge of the company's portfolio of Skin Care products, driving long-term sustainable category growth globally across MEA, Europe, APAC, and the Americas. The Category Lead actively contributes to the development and execution of the category's strategy, guaranteeing perfect performance throughout the business.

For all pertinent category- and product-based talks across all channels, the Category Lead Skin Care is regarded as the key individual. 

He/she shall oversee the launch of items in accordance with the company's guiding principles, positioning, and offerings. Moreover, the talented Category Lead shall be liable for all activities associated with the products positioning alignment and launch activation, providing the important linkage between Marketing, Business Development, Sales, Brand, and Regional teams.

Global category lead - Skin Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Be the voice of Skin Care across the business
  • Prepare and provide regular category performance updates, identifying performance trends supported by fact-based insights
  • Prepare, publish, and present in-depth Quarterly and Annual category and product performance reports
  • Ensure the execution of plans in alignment with the Category Strategy via regional teams including regional Brand Managers.
  • Design & plan new product launches by regularly spotting market trends
  • Identify and develop new manufacturer suppliers through filters like product quality, capacity, responsible sourcing, commercial negotiations, product & packaging specification as per benchmark.
  • Work in close coordination with Communication, Brand, and Regional teams, as well as with procurement, finance, packaging, and operations team for on time availability of products.
  • Prepare performance review and margin analysis MIS reports
  • Ensure optimum product pricing, costing & margin analysis, sourcing and price negotiation.
  • Develop and maintain project plans, communicate with the cross-functional category teams at regular intervals, and highlight the impact of key activities on project delivery and success
  • Finalize and innovate the product packaging
  • Ensure vendor support & engagement to achieve sales growth

Global category lead - Skin Skills and Requirements:

  • MBA in Marketing /Graduate from relevant subjects with minimum 6 years of experience.
  • Strong product understanding Working knowledge of Cosmetics/beauty, fashion and social trends that are relevant to the continued evolution of the business.
  • Substantial category management experience within the (manufactured) consumer goods and/or beauty industry including time specifically in Facial Skin Care.
  • Capable of influencing and persuading a broad range of decision influencers and decision makers.
  • Strong analytical skills and interpreting internal sales data to inform business decisions.
  • Ability to independently organize and prioritize workload within a fast-paced environment to meet deadlines
  • Advanced communication and senior stakeholder management skills.
  • Proactive & collaborative problem-solving ability.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage cost/budget, scope, schedule, and risk.
