About the job Cost Control Manager
Our client a leading manufacturing and food distribution company dedicated to creating delicious and high-quality confectionery products is looking for an "Cost Controller Manager" in Tripoli, Lebanon. You will play a crucial role in monitoring and analyzing costs, identifying areas of improvement, and implementing strategies to optimize financial performance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Cost Analysis: Conduct regular analysis of costs, including direct and indirect expenses, and identify trends, patterns, and opportunities for cost savings. Analyze financial data and provide insights to senior management.
- Budgeting and Forecasting: Collaborate with the finance team to develop and monitor budgets. Provide input and recommendations during the budgeting and forecasting process to ensure cost effectiveness and accuracy.
- Cost Control: Implement and enforce cost control measures, policies, and procedures to minimize wastage, reduce expenses, and improve financial performance. Monitor expenditures to ensure adherence to budgets.
- Variance Analysis: Analyze and investigate variances between actual costs and budgeted costs. Identify the reasons for deviations and propose corrective actions to ensure cost control.
- Financial Reporting: Prepare timely and accurate financial reports, including cost analysis reports, budget variance reports, and other ad-hoc reports as required. Present the reports to senior management and provide explanations and recommendations.
- Process Improvement: Continuously assess and improve cost control processes and procedures. Identify areas for automation, streamlining, and efficiency enhancement.
- Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, such as procurement, operations, and finance, to align cost control efforts with organizational objectives. Provide guidance and support to teams in cost control-related matters.
- Compliance: Ensure compliance with relevant financial regulations, accounting standards, and internal control policies. Stay updated with industry best practices and implement them as appropriate.
- Team Management: Manage a team of cost control professionals, providing guidance, coaching, and performance feedback. Foster a collaborative and high-performing team environment.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or a related field.
- At least 4 years of experience is required in the field, preferably in a manufacturing company.
- Previous experience in a managerial or supervisory capacity is strongly preferred.
- Strong analytical skills and proficiency in financial modeling and analysis.
- Knowledge of accounting principles, financial regulations, and cost control methodologies.
- Proficiency in financial management software and systems.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work with complex financial data.
- Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and influence stakeholders.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
