About the job Logistics Manager
We're seeking to hire a "Logistics Manager" to oversee the efficient flow of goods and services within the organization through the supply chain, reducing costs, and meeting customer expectations. The successful candidate shall plan and manage the warehouse operation efficiently ensuring stock accuracy and company procedures to deliver maximum value and profitability.
Logistics Manager Keys and Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement logistics policies and procedures.
- Plan the daily distribution of resources throughout the warehouses and delivery teams for maximum efficiency
- Direct transportation operations including on time dispatching, routing delivery tracking and returns and shipments.
- Ensure that stocks are accurate by overseeing the whole operation starting with the receiving, handling and dispatching of goods
- Oversee and manage cycle counts in order to ensure accuracy as per SOPs and reduction of Warehouse damages.
- Oversee that products are stored in the designated locations according to Company procedures.
- Monitor fleet time and capacity utilization and ensures delivery routes are fully planned with requested delivery dates.
- Recommend plans/ projects in order to optimize storage and delivery cost
- Establish & control a set of KPIs including trailer hiring, daily labors, picking productivity, Warehouse, delivery routes and fleet utilization in order to manage logistics costs.
- Lead and develop a team of logistics professionals, providing coaching, guidance, and performance feedback to optimize team performance.
Logistics Manager Keys and Responsibilities:
- Bachelor's degree in logistics, supply chain management, business administration, or a related field. A master's degree is a plus.
- Proven experience in logistics management, preferably in a supervisory or managerial role.
- Strong knowledge of logistics processes, transportation modes, and supply chain management principles.
- Proficiency in using logistics software, warehouse management systems (WMS), and enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and resolve logistics-related issues.
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders.
