About the job Maintenance Supervisor
Our Client is a well established group operating in the furniture production, retail and wholesale industry. The group has many subsidiaries working under its umbrella in Lebanon and KSA.The maintenance supervisor is responsible for overseeing and coordinating the maintenance activities in a facility or organization.
Responsibilities:
- Supervision: Manage a team of maintenance technicians and provide guidance and direction to ensure effective and efficient completion of maintenance tasks.
- Planning and Scheduling: Develop and implement maintenance schedules, including preventive maintenance plans, to minimize downtime and maximize equipment availability.
- Equipment Maintenance: Coordinate and oversee the repair, maintenance, and troubleshooting of machinery, equipment, and systems to ensure optimal performance and safety.
- Inspections and Audits: Conduct regular inspections to identify maintenance needs, safety hazards, and compliance with regulatory standards. Perform audits to assess equipment condition and recommend improvements.
- Training and Development: Provide training, guidance, and mentorship to maintenance staff to enhance their skills and knowledge. Stay updated with industry best practices and technological advancements.
- Budgeting and Cost Control: Prepare and manage the maintenance budget, ensuring efficient utilization of resources. Identify cost-saving opportunities and recommend strategies to reduce expenses.
- Vendor Management: Collaborate with external contractors and suppliers for specialized maintenance services, equipment purchases, and spare parts procurement.
- Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including work orders, equipment history, and inventory. Generate reports on maintenance metrics, performance, and expenditures.
Qualifications:
- Education and Experience: A high school diploma or equivalent is typically required, although an associate's or bachelor's degree in a relevant field may be preferred. Previous experience in maintenance or a related field is usually necessary, with progressively increasing responsibilities.
- Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of mechanical, electrical, and HVAC systems. Familiarity with maintenance tools, equipment, and techniques. Knowledge of relevant safety regulations and procedures.
- Leadership Skills: Ability to lead and motivate a team, delegate tasks, and ensure accountability. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to liaise with staff, management, and external stakeholders.
- Problem-Solving Abilities: Analytical mindset to identify and resolve maintenance issues effectively. Strong troubleshooting skills to diagnose equipment problems and implement appropriate solutions.
- Organizational Skills: Ability to plan and prioritize tasks, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and meet deadlines. Attention to detail for accurate record-keeping and reporting.
- Computer Literacy: Proficiency in using computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS), spreadsheets, and other software tools for documentation, scheduling, and analysis.
