About the job HSE Director
Our Client is in the Construction field in KSA is hiring for Riyadh an HSE Director. He will be leading and overseeing the strategic planning, execution, and management of health, safety, and environmental initiatives by providing expert guidance, and ensuring compliance with international standards, to maintain the highest levels of safety, and sustainability throughout corporate and project operations.
Job Description:
- Strategic Leadership:
- Develop and implement the company's HSE strategy, policies, and procedures in alignment with business objectives.
- Establish and maintain a comprehensive HSE management system that meets international standards (e.g., ISO 45001, ISO 14001).
- Lead the development and implementation of HSE training programs for all employees, contractors, and visitors.
- Conduct regular HSE audits and assessments to identify areas for improvement.
- Proactively identify and manage HSE risks and hazards.
- Ensure effective communication and engagement with employees, contractors, and stakeholders on HSE matters.
- Operational Management:
- Oversee the day-to-day operations of the HSE department, including incident investigation, reporting, and corrective action plans.
- Manage the HSE budget and resources effectively.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure compliance with HSE regulations and standards in all operations.
- Develop and implement emergency response plans and procedures.
- Monitor and track HSE performance indicators and metrics.
- Compliance and Reporting:
- Ensure compliance with all applicable HSE regulations, standards, and legal requirements.
- Prepare and submit HSE reports to management and regulatory bodies.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date HSE records and documentation.
- Stay informed of industry best practices and emerging HSE trends.
- Culture Building:
- Foster a strong HSE culture within the company, promoting a proactive and responsible approach to safety, health, and environmental protection.
- Encourage open communication and reporting of HSE concerns.
- Recognize and reward employees for their contributions to HSE excellence.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in health, Safety and Environmental Management, or equivalent from a recognized and accredited university.
- Masters degree is preferred.
- Excellent verbal and written communication; Fluency in Arabic and English.
- Strong knowledge of HSE regulations, standards, and best practices.
- Proven experience in developing and implementing HSE programs and strategies.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to analyze complex problems and develop effective solutions.
- Strong organizational and project management skills.
Experience:
- 15+ years of professional experience in HSE in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
- A proven track record of dynamic and successful leadership in HSE.
- A proven track record of deploying forward-looking strategic, managerial, and operational methods (including future/cutting-edge technologies).
- Extensive experience in leading, strategic planning, implementation, and performance management.
- Comprehensive working knowledge of governing bodies, committees, and regulatory organization within KSA
