Job Summary:


The Head of Civil Inspectors oversees and manages a team responsible for ensuring compliance with construction standards, codes, and regulations in civil engineering projects. They provide leadership, guidance, and technical expertise to ensure effective inspection processes, accurate documentation, and adherence to project timelines. Collaborating with project stakeholders, resolving complex compliance issues, and playing a key role in maintaining the integrity, quality, and safety of civil engineering projects are integral aspects of this role.

Key Responsibilities:

- Lead and supervise a team of civil inspectors, providing guidance, training, and performance management for effective and efficient inspection processes. 
-Develop and implement inspection plans, procedures, and protocols to ensure compliance with construction standards, codes, and regulations.
- Conduct regular inspections of construction sites to assess compliance with approved plans, specifications, and safety regulations.
- Review and verify the quality of construction materials through sampling, testing, and monitoring of construction processes.
- Ensure accurate and detailed documentation of inspections, complying with organizational standards.
 Prepare comprehensive inspection reports summarizing findings, non-compliance issues, and recommended corrective actions for senior management and project stakeholders.
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, architects, contractors, and regulatory authorities to address complex compliance issues and provide expert guidance on construction standards and regulations.
- Monitor and enforce compliance with applicable building codes, zoning regulations, and environmental standards throughout the construction process.
- Identify and mitigate potential safety hazards on construction sites by promoting and monitoring safety practices, equipment usage, and worker adherence to safety protocols.
- Monitor the progress and quality of construction projects at various stages to ensure timely completion and adherence to project specifications.
- Stay updated with evolving construction standards, codes, regulations, industry best practices, and emerging technologies to enhance the team's professional knowledge and skills.
- Foster a culture of teamwork, collaboration, and continuous improvement within the team by promoting open communication, knowledge sharing, and professional development opportunities.

Requirements: Educational and Experience: 

-Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field; a master's degree is preferred. 
-Proven experience as a Civil Inspector or in a similar role, demonstrating effective leadership and team management.
- In-depth knowledge of construction standards, codes, and regulations, with expertise in civil engineering principles and practices. 
-Familiarity with construction materials, testing methods, and quality control processes. Strong attention to detail and ability to identify non-compliance issues and potential risks. 
-Excellent documentation and report writing skills, conveying complex technical information clearly and concisely. Demonstrated leadership skills, including the ability to motivate, coach, and develop a team. 
-Strong interpersonal and communication skills for effective collaboration with project stakeholders and regulatory authorities. 
-Ability to analyze and solve complex problems, make informed decisions, and prioritize tasks in a dynamic construction environment. 
-Proficiency in relevant software and tools for documentation, data analysis, and project management.

 Arabic: Read, Speak, and Write
 French: Read, Speak, and Write is a plus
