About the job Account Director

We are looking for a quality-driven, "Account Director" for a leading Advertising group, who is in charge of undertaking account management responsibilities ana managing the clients projects.

An effective Account director has great aptitude in building and nurturing healthy client relationships, developing new marketing opportunities, briefing creative teams, allocating and managing budgets, and identifying new areas of growth.

The goal is to ensure the company's retention of clientele and facilitate further improvement. The position will be based in Riyadh, KSA.

Account Director Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Leading clients' campaign advertising strategies.
  • Conducting performance evaluation using key metrics and giving feedbacks
  • Planning budgets and activities for account management in the company
  • Briefing designers and copywriters.
  • Developing and nurturing client relationships.
  • Ensuring the timely delivery of services and products to clients
  • Setting objectives for creative teams.
  • Monitoring the success of campaigns.
  • Reading reports of subordinates and communicating overall quarterly/annual progress to senior management and external stakeholders.
  • Identifying new opportunities for growth.
  • Identify opportunities to cross-sell other services or enhance current scope and keep CSD updated on any leads for the account
  • Work and contribute actively to a new pitch as a part of the pitch team if required
    For a new account, draft an Operationalizing Plan and Operationalising report based on the execution and share with client
  • Lead the discussion on the Operationalising report within the CS team
  • Discuss Account profitability and related issues on a quarterly basis with CSD
  • Ensure all deliverables to clients are to brief, guidelines and budget and within deadlines
  • Lead brainstorming on ideas with CS teams, presentation to clients and oversee execution
  • Deal with any job coordination issues at an interdepartmental level and with clients on a need basis
  • Monitor cost estimates prepared by the teams and resolve related issues
  • Manage quotation based on the cost estimate sent to client and proposal development with the Finance team
  • Coordinate with HR to ensure understanding of approach and spirit of Performance Management among the account teams
  • Set up of individual performance targets for direct reports in alignment with account plans and through mutual discussion, oversee for indirect reports
  • Review performance of direct and indirect reports on a periodic basis as per the Performance management policy
  • Identify training needs for direct reports
  • Ensure that training and personal development plans of account teams are implemented, and the members are freed from regular duties for attending training programmes

Account Director Skills and Requirements:

  • 7-9 years of experience in Account Management with 1-2 years as an Account Director in a reputed agency
  • Graduate in any field, a degree in the advertising/communications field will be
    preferred
  • Knowledge of the advertising industry, creative and production aspects
  • Strong influencing style and executive presence; articulate and confident
  • Strong leadership skills and the ability to work as part of a team
  • Persuasive ability and assertiveness while dealing with tricky issues
  • Strong interpersonal, presentation and communication skills
  • Ability to analyse and interpret information
  • Ability to train and motivate team members and foster a cooperative work
    environment
