About the job QS CSA
Our client, a construction firm based in Lebanon and the KSA, is seeking a Quantity Surveyor (QS) Construction Site Administrator (CSA) in Beirut, Lebanon who will be responsible for managing the financial and administrative aspects of construction projects, ensuring cost control, contract compliance, and effective project delivery in the estimation department.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and maintain detailed cost estimates, budgets, and cash flow forecasts for construction projects.
- Monitor and control project costs, identifying and addressing any variances or cost overruns in a timely manner.
- Manage the tendering and procurement process, including the evaluation of bids and the negotiation of contracts with subcontractors and suppliers.
- Coordinate and oversee the preparation of monthly progress reports, payment applications, and other financial documentation.
- Ensure compliance with contractual terms, relevant regulations, and company policies throughout the project.
- Conduct regular site inspections and liaise with project managers to verify the accuracy of progress claims and variations.
- Maintain comprehensive project records, including contract documents, site instructions, and change orders.
- Provide cost analysis and financial advice to the project team, contributing to informed decision-making and risk mitigation.
- Identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements and implement strategies to optimize project delivery.
- Mentor and train junior members of the quantity surveying and site administration team.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of company-wide policies, procedures, and best practices related to cost management and project administration.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 10 years of experience as a Quantity Surveyor or Construction Site Administrator in the construction industry.
- Thorough understanding of construction contracts, cost management, and project administration principles.
- Proficient in the use of construction cost estimating software, project management tools, and financial reporting systems.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and make informed recommendations.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Relevant professional qualifications, such as a Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field. Professional certifications (e.g., RICS, CIOB) are highly desirable.
