Our client is a leading regional group in the Electricals and lighting sector hiring a sales Manager to be based in Baghdad-Iraq
Job Responsibilities:
- Setting strategic goals for the sales departments to outline quarterly and annual action plans aligned with the organization's vision to achieve growth and profitability.
- Designing the organizational structure of the sales department, including its subdivisions, and continuously developing it to match the evolving stage.
- Training the sales team by developing department managers, providing them with guidance, enhancing leadership skills, and expanding product knowledge.
- Evaluating workforce within an advanced evaluation system and devising a policy for rewards and commissions.
- Selecting and implementing training and development programs for all department staff.
- Maintaining sales volume and distribution channels.
- Establishing performance metrics and monitoring them to safely achieve goals with optimal results.
- Developing comprehensive departmental procedures, outlining steps for procedures that contribute to establishing a consistent and known work system, while streamlining time and routine to achieve the best outcomes.
- Increasing the annual budget for the sales department.
- Developing business plans covering sales, profitability, and expense control, which align with achieving sales objectives.
- Contributing to competitor monitoring and activities with marketing by devising methods for collecting and monitoring product and price information in the market.
- Submitting daily and monthly reports to management, indicating the sales status in implementing set plans, their impact, and contributing to reassessment and improvement.
- Collaborating with the marketing department to develop the annual marketing plan, including quarterly and annual market forecasts based on previous sales, market trends, competitor activities, and promotion policies. Also, developing a sales incentive program plan.
- Collaborate with the accounting team to optimize cash flow by reducing debit and enhancing cash collection policies.
- Develop and implement strategies to increase cash invoices and improve overall revenue generation.
- Work closely with the finance department to schedule payments strategically, ensuring minimal outstanding balances at the end of the fiscal year
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in business administration, marketing, sales, logistics, or related field.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in sales and marketing roles, must be in the electrical, solar energy and lighting sector.
- Fluent in English languages, both written and verbal, Arabic is a plus.
- Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets and KPIs.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and CRM software.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
